A smile costs nothing and produces much,
It enriches those who receive without impoverishing those who give,
It only lasts a moment, but sometimes his memory is eternal
Nobody is rich enough without it,
Nobody is poor enough not to deserve
It creates happiness in the home, supporting business
It is the tangible sign of friendship
A smile gives rest to the tired,
Give courage to the most depressed
He can neither buy nor afford, nor steal,

Un sorriso dà riposo alla stanchezza, allo scoraggiamento,
nella tristezza è consolazione.
Rinnova il coraggio, è l'antidoto naturale alle nostre pene.
E' un bene che non si può comprare, ne prestare, ne rubare,
poiché solo ha valore nell'istante in cui si dona.
E se poi incontrerete chi l'aspettato sorriso a voi non dona,
siate generosi e date il vostro, perchè nessuno ha tanto bisogno
di un sorriso come colui che sa darlo.

Ein Lächeln kostet nichts und bringt doch so viel.
Es bereichert den Empfänger und den Geber.
Es ist vielleicht nur kurz, doch die Erinnerung daran oft unvergänglich.
Keiner ist so reich, um darauf verzichten zu können.
Und keiner ist zu arm, daß er es sich nicht leisten könnte.
Es bringt Glück und ist ein Zeichen von Freundschaft.
Es bekommt erst dann seinen Wert, wenn es verschenkt wird.
Sollte der andere einmal kein Lächeln mehr zur Verfügung haben,
überlasse ich Ihm eins von meinen,
denn niemand braucht so sehr ein Lächeln, wie der, der keins mehr übrig
hat.
